There are some advantages and limitations of using computer as instructional media. One advantage of using computer as instructional media is the ability to provide more engaging activities for students. Students will not get bored and will listen attentively when we use computers as instructional material. They can easily understand the topic because it’s a hands on activity unlike the traditional method that the teacher always talks. With the use of internet , teachers and students can easily get information they need. Computers are fun and most students learn and retain more while having fun. So with the help of computers students are having fun when you engaged it with learning with the use of different software available in the market today. Learning is made easier with the help of simulations the students can visualize the real life situations.4 There are also disadvantages when using computers in classroom one of the is the poor hand writing skills. Because of replacing the pen and paper with computer the learners writing skill may suffer a lot and most students rely on computers now a days.It can also cause cheating. Wherein when answering their assignment they just google it and then copy paste it. They don’t think anymore. So their critical thinking is weakened. Another limitations is computers are expensive. That’s why in some of our public schools computers are just limited. Usually it’s a 1:4 ratio.
