Sexual Harassment in the Workplace

The paper looks at the issue of sexual harassment in the workplace in order to determine what organizations need to do to manage the problem.

The paper starts by defining what sexual harassment is. It then considers the causes and the effects of sexual harassment. Finally, the solution to sexual harassment is presented.
“The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (2002) provides the following definition of sexual harassment: “Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature constitutes sexual harassment when submission to or rejection of this conduct explicitly or implicitly affects an individual’s employment, unreasonably interferes with an individual’s work performance or creates an intimidating, hostile or offensive work environment.””
