Marketing for Non-profit Organizations

Marketing of nonprofit making organization should be aimed at satisfying the target group and donor needs. It is therefore imperative to commence developing a market strategy by selecting a target group. Market managers should develop strategies to build the organizations image and reputation in the society (W. Wymer, P. Knowles &R. Gomes p4). Nonprofit marketing is the use of marketing strategies to advance the mission and objectives of nonprofit making organizations. This tactics may include public relation, advertising, fund raising and gathering and processing information for decision makers such as government agencies. According to W.Wymer, good relation with volunteers, government, donors and board of directors is a marketing and branding tactic for nonprofit organization.
