These forests, as with much of South America’s tropical forest, is being destroyed at an incredible rate, by logging companies, and by large farming conglomerates; as such, the native homeland of the Aw is being lost, meaning that their nomadic lifestyle is threatened, and also that potentially, the Aw themselves are in danger of being wiped out altogether.”
