“They say a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world: someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for.” I agree full-heartedly with this definition of happiness. A loving family, playing sports, and accomplishing my goals will always make me happy.
When I was young, my definition of a happy family was when my parents don’t get enraged at me. Now, spending quality time with my family is the best thing I can ever ask for. Everyone in my household respects each other. We all share our secrets and pieces of advice. When I am devastated, my family consoles me and tries to make me laugh until my stomach hurts. They also support me in what I am seeking for, never pulling me back. Whichever route I pursue, they will always be “Team Alicia” until the end. I feel best when I am under their roof. A family is where my life and love begins and will never end.
Sports have always been my favorite activity to do. It not only keeps me awake, but it also makes me content. Sometimes, just a short jog down the block makes me energized. Stress always makes me tired and defeated. While playing sports, I forget all about my obstacles I encounter, such as exams, homework, and friendship. I clear and relax my mind and focus on what I am doing. Exercising also makes me confident because I congratulate myself when I achieve my goal. When I realize how much I have improved, I am elated.
Goals are the key to success. I have a daily, monthly, and annual goal for everything I do. Accomplishing my daily goal is just a pat on the back for me. It tells me that I am one step closer to my annual target. When I finally reach my annual objective, I feel ecstatic. For example, one of my goals at the beginning of the year was to beat my strong opponent in badminton class. Just a few days ago, I succeeded. I was in a jubilant mood for the rest of the day.
