There is no doubt that Shakespeare’s play Macbeth has many themes expressed throughout it. One theme I noticed very heavily was that power corrupts people. While reading the play, I saw this the most with Macbeth himself and his Lady Macbeth. By the end of the play, Macbeth had been behind so many murders of people he knew and cared for. It was all in order to keep the power he had gotten by listening to his wire and murdering the former King Duncan. In the beginning of the play we learned about Macbeth’s fighting skills as the captain told Duncan about the battle that was just fought.
