The short story about The Test by Njabulo Ndebele is set in a township area where a group of boys were playing soccer in the streets then a rain came .The story reveals that Mpiyakhe and Thoba had smooth feet than the boys who had cracked feet.Therefore the conditions of their feet may symbolise respective positions of their class in the community, in a sense that Thoba and Mpiyakhe may be regarded as more financially privilledge than the other boys because of the number of shoes each of them possess and also the conditions of their feet may symbolise that they are from middle class
