The communication protocol used here is Wireless Fidelity which is commonly known as Wi-Fi since it has a wide range. In this module it is being used for the communication between the signals, sensors and the Area Traffic Control System (ATCS).
The cloud acts as an interface between the sensors and the signals. It plays a vital role in the transfer of information to the Area Traffic Control System and also helps in maintaining the databases.
