Seurat and the Science of Colour

Shows the role that optical science and color played in the art of Neo-Impressionist artist, Geroge Seurat.

Georges Seurat, the French Neo-Impressionist painter, was very interested in optical science and color. While not an actual scientist in any way, Seurat nonetheless was interested in experimenting with color in his paintings. As will be seen, his artistic method of pointillism embodied his theories and were revolutionary in his time.
