This paper briefly examines what can be learned about German society at the time that Hitler wrote Mein Kampf. It shows how it reflects the realities of the time in which it was written and to truly understand the writings, one has to understand the history and society of 1920-1930 Germany.
Adolf Hitler’s infamous and influential Mein Kampf can be best understood within its historical context. Mein Kampf is not only the work of a genocidal and racist man, it is also a work that sadly reflects many of the realities of the time in which it was written. Mein Kampf is steeped deeply in the history of German conflict, and within the cultural, social, and political realities of the early 1900s.
