Examines the U.S. government’s policy of sterilizing Latin-American women immigrants within the context of the film, `L’Operacion.
In this paper, the film L’ Operacion` is discussed in relation to United States’ policy, colonization and the impact of sterilization on women who immigrated to New York. The impact of this program can be understood as multigenerational and amounts to nothing less than controlled eugenics.
