He was one of the key figures in the so-called “cognitive revolution” but it is the field of education that his influence has been profound. Bruner has made numerous contributions to our appreciation of the process of education and to the development of curriculum theory. This paper explores Bruner’s accomplishments, philosophy, and specific theories.
