If I were a police administrator I would definitely like to incorporate community policing and problem-oriented policing. As I would want to gather what the members of our community would need and would want to see in order to create a secure environment. In our textbook it states “Community policing builds solid relations between the police and the public” and “Problem-orientated policing is a proactive crime-fighting strategy” (Regoli, Hewitt, and Kosloski 2018). Being involved with your community and getting to know those individuals will build trust toward one another in which it can help both police and the community to engage, participate to fight crime together and develop strategies to avert crime.
