Equality ensures that every child in the setting is treated equally and individual needs are taken into account and planned for. Providing an inclusive environment for the children also accommodates diversity, helping the children to value and appreciate the different races, cultures and disabilities. If all children are not treated equally and their individual needs are overlooked, they observe this and may feel left out/isolated and this has an impact on their holistic development.
