Technology is at best, only a partial solution or even a contributor to other problems in the environment. The best solutions may have little to do with sophisticated technology. They may be simple changes in lifestyle, reduction of consumption in the first place, re-organization of distribution channels to cut back on packaging altogether (such as bulk sores), and other changes which are not technological but might be extremely effective.
