Arguments For and Against Capital Punishment

A rebuttle on two articles related to capital punishment – arguing the strength and weaknesses of each viewpoint.

Examining Edward I. Koch’s article, The Death Penalty is Justice, and David Bruck’s “No Death Penalty”. Analyzes the arguments made by both for and against the death penalty and shows which article is more convincing.
“Is capital punishment an adequate and necessary form of retribution for the crime of murder? And will it prevent the occurrence of future murders? These are the essential issues argued by Edward I. Koch in his article, “The Death Penalty is Justice,” and David Bruck’s No Death Penalty. Furthermore, Koch is able to ideally show the need for capital punishment, while Bruck is ineffective at justifying his stance that the death penalty is an unsuitable punishment for the crime of murder.”
