A mosquito coil is an incense like the ones that are used in aromatherapy as well as in different religious rituals only this one is used for repelling mosquitoes. Mosquito coil is made up from dried pyrethrum powder paste which when burned gives out a smell that repels the mosquitoes. Mosquito coils are burned indoors and outdoors in regions like Asia, Africa, and South America.
The length of mosquito life cycle varies between species is dependent upon environmental conditions such as temperature and moisture. Adult mosquitoes’ lifespan may vary from a few days to several months, it depends on the species. Some of the mosquitoes only live in summer and die when cold weather comes but their eggs survive the winter and hatch in spring. A mosquito can only live anywhere from 1 to 2 weeks depending on the gender of mosquito. Male typically lives only for one week while females live for around a month. However, when in their natural environments they can survive up to 2 weeks.
