What Can I Do Here Anyway?

Essay on free will and destiny.

The author of this paper presents a personal opinion about destiny and free will. The author asserts that our lives contain a degree of both free will and destiny and then presents arguments to support this assertion.
“It is important to point out that a person’s occupation is free will, while a person’s success and achievement within their field of choice are a person’s destiny. One may argue that success can be changed, but it seems that people are hardwired for what ultimately will happen. Free will is anything that can categorize a person generally, without much bias, if at all. Destiny is ultimately what becomes of a person as a person throughout that person’s life. I say that only a degree of each exists because although we can rationally identify these ideas, we can never be sure enough of how and to what extent they exist.”
