PERT: Program Evaluation and Review Technique

This paper discusses PERT, the planning, control and decision making tool used by management.

Modern technology demands data from the real world which must be identified, analyzed, and interpreted in a rational and creative way. They are important for conceptualization of problems and for generating alternative solution for solving the problems. Because facts play a major role in the systems method, organizations have found it necessary to design and create unique information systems to support the efforts of analysis. In analyzing complex problems, the wide variety of data which is generated and analyzed is often beyond the capability of manual data-processing approaches.
