This paper will address the emergence of personality. In so doing it will explore attributes, adaption, stress, coping and various elements of the environment. This examination of personality will use several ways to discuss the subject; one of which will be a review of literature with specific case examples and another will be to give a brief history of the various theories of personality and how they have culminated in the research currently being done.

It would be difficult in one book to explain all the various facets of personality and the, different theories of how people develop it, so it will -be impossible to do so in a short paper such as this.
