The Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) was signed into law by President George Bush on 26 July 1990 (Public Law 101-336: The Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990, 104 STAT. 327, 42 USC 12101). This law have been made applicable to persons with contagious diseases such as AIDS (acquired immunity deficiency syndrome). This research examines the ADA, the problem of AIDS in the workplace, and organizational responses to the situation.
