This artwork is inspired by my childhood in which my Grandmother would always read me the scripture of the nativity. My Grandmother still reads me this scripture to this day, which is where I got my true inspiration for this artwork. In this piece, I imagined the love that family shares when a child is born, I’m presenting the innocent emotions of a young couple who had a child just as Mary and Joseph would have felt once Jesus came into the world. In capturing these emotions I wondered how the essence of the barn could have been created, allowing me to find the true meaning of the scripture and how intense their lives must have been. My artwork is my interpretation of the birth of our savior Jesus Christ.
