There are various sources you can get information and advice from about employment rights and responsibilities. These sources can be found both in your place of work, outside your place of work and in the community.

One source would be the citizens advice, they are a network of charity’s that provide information and advice to the public about a range of things which includes employment rights. As well as citizens advice you can get this information and advice from government websites and helplines, ACAS and legal people such as lawyers and solicitors.

From inside your workplace or organisation you could also seek information and advice from a variety of places and people. Your contract of employment will detail things such as sick pay, holiday entitlement and hours. Your job description will detail your responsibilities. If you have any more queries you could get advice and information from your line manager and HR department.
