” The issue of social promotion has been lobbied for and against by a variety of individuals. Many of them are involved in administration as well as government. Nevertheless, they all share a desire to reform the nation’s school system. The condition of the day’s school system has been disputed for centuries. In all elections, education has seemed to be a major topic. Every candidate running for any government position has broached the issue of education, and has claimed to possess the power to improve the school system. From the White House to the Board of Education Building, social promotion, as well as education reform, remains a hot topic.”
