Introduction Hospitality refers to the relationship between a host and guest

Introduction
Hospitality refers to the relationship between a host and guest; the host receives the guests with decency, including the greetings and entertainment of the guests, visitors or strangers. Louis, chevalier de Jaucourt describes hospitality in the Encyclopedia as the virtue of a great soul that cares for the whole universe through the ties of humanity. Hospitality was initially concerned with the protection of others in order to be protected from others. Additionally, within the ancient and classical worlds, often reinforced by religious teaching and practice, it is considered inherently good to provide hospitality, without any immediate expectation of an earthly reward.
In India and Nepal hospitality is based on the principle of Atithi Devo Bhaba, meaning “The Guest is God”. This principle is shown in the number of stories where a guest is revealed to be a god who rewards the provider of hospitality.
