Certain experiences for women during the American Revolutionary War were small but very important contributions to the Revolutionary War. Many women made products at home, like clothing. Other women tried to impact the struggle for independence through their husbands. In some instances some women even took part in the military side of the war. Various women found themselves in the position of having to defend their homes and families from attacks by British and Native American troops. After the American Revolutionary War ended, there expectation were to go back to what they used to do because ideally the men/ husbands would be coming home. So they expect to stay home, clean and take care of the children while the husband goes to work to support the family.
