As the third speaker of the opposing team, I strongly oppose to this resolution, resolved, that homework during Friday should not be banned in the Philippines.
In order to clarify this debate, I shall offer the definition of a homework. According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary, a homework is an assignment given to a student to be completed outside the regular class period.
Why should homework during Friday should not be banned? Because homework guides a student if he or she understands anything from his or her school. So we, the opposing team completely disagree with President Duterte about him signing an executive order about homework being banned on weekends and we also disagree with DepEd’s memorandum number 392, it states that “There should be no assignment on Weekends”. About 20% students around the world opposes that weekend homework should not be banned. The abolition of homework by President Duterte was a very negative effect on students, low grades, and bad conducts.
