An Electronic Health Record replaced the old paper record that may not always be accurate due to human error. Now EHRs present a more accurate account of the patient complete medical history and include progress notes, medications and any other issue pertaining to the patient health. Also, the EHRs allows the provider to obtain vital information such as vitals, and lab results and can also support care-related services via various interfaces that improve the patient outcomes.
